Kona, Hawaii

When I was eleven I created my primary school newspaper. I sourced advertisers, wrote articles and sold the newspaper during lunch for 20 cents a pop. Until my early 20s I thought this skill set meant I would be a satisfied journalist.

What it really meant is that I was really good at seeing stories and making these stories heard.

In nine months I conceived, created and secured a multimedia library for the World Bank. I single-handedly archived, tagged and photoshopped existing content so that it’s now search-friendly and online.

During my time in Washington D.C, I assisted amazing photo journalists like Stephen Voss and Hector Emanuel and created an online activist guide for the environmental non-profit 350.org.

For three months in early 2010, I completed a photo essay on a stay at home mom in Maryland, U.S.A, fifty years after the feminist movement in the U.S. I’m proud of it.

In May 2011 I produced and managed ten photo shoots in one month for a governmental agency while working at Studio Commercial, the biggest commercial photography studio in Sydney. I also created a blog for them that has a bounce rate of 6% and visitors stay for an average of five minutes, which in internet time is as if they watched all the Lord of the Rings films back to back.

I have graphic design experience. I was even a technical writer for a VOIP company.

I’m organised and efficient and nothing pleases me more than to have five grand projects running at any given time.

I’ve been to 21+ countries in the last five years. For fun I practice yoga, blog and cook for my husband, who thankfully eats my experiments.

My passion is environmental, specifically the ocean, which is in danger of being overfished and polluted.

I help companies see their communications is a new light. I simplify complicated subjects.

If you want to spoil me, my drink of choice is Balvenie, a single malt whiskey that should never be mixed.

I have a degree in journalism and communications from Charles Sturt University: known in Australia for its’ solid and hands-on journalism course.

If you want to talk shop, yoga or photography please send an email at tash [at] littleflutters [dot] com. Alternatively, if you’re a Nigerian Prince about to come into some money, ask for my number and bank details.
